How to Clean a Weber gas grill

The barbecues Weber gas must be cleaned regularly to remove grease and debris that accumulate during the season of barbecues. A clogged burner reduces the efficiency of your barbecue, and the accumulation of fat in the grid can affect the taste of food. Fortunately, cleaning a gas grill is simple and requires no special tools or brush.

Instructions

  1. Disconnect the propane tank and make sure that all switches are off. It is best to completely remove the propane tank and set it aside while you’re cleaning your Weber gas grill.
  2. Mix warm water and mild soap in a bucket. The detergent for dishwasher is good for cleaning barbecues, because it is effective against grease. Do not use aggressive chemical cleaners as they may damage the finish on the barbecue.
  3. Remove the grill and the included grease and put them to soak in soapy water. Leave it there for 30 to 60 minutes depending on the amount of fat which is accumulated in the metal.
  4. Remove the grill burner according to the instruction manual. Rub them with a soft cloth soaked in clean but soapy water. Removes all traces of fat accumulated burner and re-install them on the barbecue.
  5. Use a wire brush to barbecues or spatula to remove the fat accumulated in the inner walls of the barbecue. You can use a vacuum cleaner to remove the resulting waste, if necessary.
  6. Clean all the barbecue grill and included grease with a dry cloth. If still there is any residue of grease in the metal, remove it with a wire brush for barbecues.
